  • Cutest Argument You’ve Ever Seen nOcsfDI

I think sometimes we don’t give babies enough credit. I mean, they’ll grow up into (mostly) clever humans. So what happens when your baby starts dropping the dribbling argument bombs and starts talking back? Well, this gentleman had a close encounter with his more than vocal baby. What astounds me more than anything else with this baby, is how insistent it is. Seriously, dad hardly gets a word in edge-wise …

  • Lunch buffets Buffet

I’m currently trying to be healthy. Healthier, rather. This has so far involved giving up sugar (of sorts), and taking up exercise. The final hurdle is to eat better. Which is fine, until you take yourself off for a buffet lunch. If my health kick were a video game, this would be like the top level where you have to beat The Boss. Maybe for me, it would be a …

  • Zavive Reintroduce – Joint Honours artworks-000076533683-evrygv-t500x500

This time (roughly), last year, we did our introducing feature with the band Joint Honours, from Derby. If you don’t remember and can’t be arsed to click the link, I’ll tell you a spell about them now. They released their debut self-titled EP last year and yeah, I really enjoyed what vibe the band was going for. There was this nifty mixture of spoken word/rapping going on, fused in with …

  • Stenographer Hates Job So Much He… 6a00d834516c2469e200e54f178af38833-800wi

A stenographer is someone that types out what people are saying during a court case. Now we’ve got that out of the way, let’s get to the news. A Manhattan stenographer was driven mad by his job and alcohol abuse. The gentleman would write “I hate my job” or even nonsense, over and over again. This went on for more than 30 cases. The New York Post explains that officials …

Reviews

  • Noah – Review Noah

Noah, Noah, Noah. I really wanted to like you. Truly I did. But in the end, I just wasted two hours of my life that I shall never get back. Fortunately it wasn’t the acting that I took issue with, or the film would have been unbearable. Russell Crowe is a hugely talented actor, making a decent job of Noah. Jennifer Connelly was brilliant as Noah’s wife, and the younger …

Human-animal brain transplants a reality

Human-animal brain transplants a reality

A local cat was volunteered by its owners, who wish to remain anony-mouse, to undergo a groundbreaking experiment in the name of science. They wanted their little Tommy to be the first cat in the world to have a human brain surgically implanted and, to their initial delight, it actually worked! What they didn’t expect was for Tommy, after his two month’s of recovery from the 18 hour operation, to decide to leave home and set up in business.

Would You Believe It?!?

Be Happy You're Alive This Monday

A ten year study in Scotland found that 20% more people die of heart attacks on Mondays than any other day of the week. Researchers theorise that it’s a combination of too much fun over the weekend with the stress of going back to work that causes the increase. Yet another reason to enjoy Mondays!
